Hilti Academy officially opened
Kaufering, September 25, 2017 – Hilti’s presence in Kaufering, Germany continues to grow and plans call for Hilti to expand further while modernizing existing facilities in the coming years. One example of this is the recent inauguration of the newly-constructed Hilti Academy in Kaufering.
After a construction period of only 16 months the Hilti Academy was finished this summer. Serving not only as a replacement for the former training center, the open and light-flooded architecture affords new possibilities for training both employees and customers alike. New employees will be schooled and briefed on their future tasks while there will also be a wide variety of continuation training possibilities for existing employees.
The Academy will also offer Hilti customers a broad-based range of technical and practical training seminars. “We are very pleased that we were able to further expand the range of training offered in our new Hilti Academy premises,” says Hilti Germany General Manager Jochen Olbert. He adds: “The Hilti Academy also gives us better possibilities to tailor diverse customer training possibilities, which we already offer, to clearly meet what customers want and need.” Additional buildings at Hilti’s Kaufering location will be successively modernized and expanded, a step that will create new jobs.
Presentation of sculptures from the Hilti Art Foundation
A perfect addition to the architecture at the Kaufering location consists of the three large-format sculptures created by the Swiss artist Gottfried Honegger, who died in 2016. Christened “Pliagen,” or folds, by the artist (from the French plier = to fold), the sculptures were placed directly in front of the entrance to the Hilti Academy. The artwork was officially handed over by the Hilti Art Foundation during the inauguration festivities.
